Prerequisites
- A Tendy account on the Basic plan or above
- Claude Desktop (any plan) for the config-file setup, or Claude.ai with a plan that supports remote MCP servers
Claude Desktop (Recommended)
Claude Desktop supports remote MCP servers with OAuth authorization out of the box. The first time you use Tendy tools, Claude opens a browser window so you can authorize your account — no token management required.1
Open the Claude Desktop configuration file
In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Developer and click Edit Config. This opens
claude_desktop_config.json in your default editor.2
Add the Tendy MCP server
Add a
tendy entry inside the mcpServers object. If the file is empty, replace its contents with the block below; otherwise merge the tendy key into your existing mcpServers section.claude_desktop_config.json
3
Restart Claude Desktop
Save the file, then fully quit and relaunch Claude Desktop so it picks up the new server configuration.
4
Authorize your Tendy account
Start a new conversation and ask Claude to use a Tendy tool — for example, “Search for active tenders in Minsk.” Claude opens a browser window and redirects you to Tendy’s OAuth authorization page. Log in and click Authorize. You are returned to Claude Desktop automatically, and the tool call completes.
5
Confirm the tools are available
Click the Tools icon (hammer) in the Claude chat toolbar. You should see the Tendy tools listed:
search_tenders, get_tender, list_saved_searches, run_saved_search, and list_saved_tenders. The connection is ready.Claude.ai (Browser)
If your Claude.ai plan supports remote MCP servers, you can connect Tendy without installing any software.- In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Integrations (or Settings → MCP Servers, depending on your plan).
- Click Add remote MCP server and enter:
- Follow the OAuth prompt to authorize your Tendy account.
- The Tendy tools become available in all new conversations.
Remote MCP support in Claude.ai is rolling out gradually and may not yet be available on all plans. If you do not see the option, use Claude Desktop instead.

After connecting, Claude can call any of these Tendy tools during your conversation:Example Conversation Starters
